Some wedding days just feel like magic from start to finish, and Lauren and Rylan’s November wedding at The Venue at Creekside at Collier’s End in Mooresville, Alabama, was one of those days. As a Huntsville wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of capturing many love stories, but this one was extra special. Lauren was actually a bridesmaid in her best friend’s wedding that I photographed a few years ago! When I was asked to document her own wedding day was the sweetest full-circle moment.
The stunning venue at Creekside at Collier’s End set the perfect stage for their celebration. From Lauren’s ethereal dress and delicate veil to the romantic reception decor, every detail felt timeless and intentional. But what made their celebration truly unforgettable was how personal and fun it was.
Lauren and Rylan share some family ties to New Orleans, so in true NOLA fashion, they incorporated a second line parade after their ceremony—leading their guests from the ceremony to the reception with a live brass band, complete with trumpets, trombones, and the most joyful energy. It was the perfect way to kick off a night full of love, laughter, and a whole lot of dancing!
Beyond the incredible details, what stood out most about their day was how relaxed and present they were. They truly soaked in every moment, surrounded by their closest friends and family. And once the reception started, they partied—and I mean partied! It was the kind of celebration that makes you want to stay on the dance floor all night.
